This book is perhaps the oldest document that approaches the foundations of the Regla de Ifá in an extensive and profound manner, particularly in its works and ceremonies. In a unique fashion, it sets out the 256 odu, being apparently a summation of the knowledge of the African-born babalawo Ño José Akonkón omo odu Ifá Oyekun Meyi (ibae).

Este libro es quizás el más antiguo documento que expone los fundamentos del culto a Ifá de una manera muy extensa y profunda, particulariza en las obras, los ritos y las ceremonias en los Odun de Ifá. De una manera singular aborda los 256 Odun y parece como si resumiera los conocimientos de Ño José Akonkón omo odun Ifá Oyekun Meyi.
